Project Overview

Makers Collective, a burgeoning marketplace championing local artisans, embarks on a journey to connect creators with discerning consumers who value quality, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Grounded in principles of community, authenticity, and craftsmanship, Makers Collective endeavors to create a warm and inviting space that celebrates the art of handmade goods. However, amidst the quest for identity lies a challenge: selecting a name that encapsulates the essence of the brand while standing out in a crowded market. Despite this hurdle, the project's primary goal remains crystal clear: to establish a compelling visual identity and launch a captivating marketing campaign that beckons artisans to join the vibrant community.

Challenges Faced

  • Finding a distinct and trademarkable name that resonates with the target audience while complying with trademark laws and domain availability constraints.

  • Implementing color theory principles and typography best practices to evoke the desired emotional response and enhance brand recognition.

  • Conducting usability testing and A/B testing to validate design decisions and refine the visual identity based on user feedback and performance metrics.

Project Goal

The ultimate objective of this project is divided in to main goals. First, to establish a distinctive visual identity comprising a logo and style guide that encapsulates the spirit of Makers Collective; and second, to roll out a comprehensive marketing campaign targeting potential vendors. Phase 1 focuses on developing the foundational elements of the brand's visual identity, including the logo and style guide, while Phase 2 delves into executing a multifaceted marketing strategy encompassing email campaigns, digital advertisements, social media promotions, and website enhancements. Through these initiatives, Makers Collective aims to attract both consumers and artisans, fostering a thriving ecosystem that celebrates creativity, authenticity, and community.

I led the design and execution of a targeted email campaign to recruit vendors for the Living Sky Artisans Market. Using Mailchimp, I crafted a visually engaging, mobile-responsive email with compelling subject lines, personalized merge tags, and clear calls to action. By combining strategic messaging with strong design principles such as consistent branding, accessible layout, and cross-device compatibility, the campaign successfully captured attention, increased engagement, and boosted vendor sign-ups.

I developed a strategic copywriting campaign to promote the Living Sky Artisans Market across Facebook and Instagram. This included targeted audience segmentation, A/B testing of ad creatives, and mobile-optimized placements to ensure maximum reach and impact. By pairing compelling messaging with eye-catching visuals, relevant hashtags, and interactive features like polls, the campaign boosted engagement and encouraged participation from local artisans. It successfully built awareness while fostering a strong sense of community among our audience.
